My first destination pre-wedding shoot was brought to life with the dynamic and delightful Neoy and Walt, two talented individuals from the restaurant world who brought warmth, humour, and authenticity to this special project. Styled in collaboration with talented vendors from both Singapore and Bangkok, this shoot was a celebration of friendship, artistry, and cross-cultural connection.
Neoy, a spirited Thai creative, and Walt, a charismatic Singaporean, share a relationship filled with laughter and mutual respect. Though this was a styled shoot, their genuine personalities brought a natural and effortless charm to every frame. With Walt’s constant stream of jokes keeping the team in stitches and Neoy’s radiant warmth lighting up the set, the shoot flew by in a whirlwind of joy and creativity.
This shoot was a true collaborative effort, blending the expertise of vendors from two vibrant cities. Neoy donned a stunning gown from Bone and Grey Bridal, a piece that captured the modern elegance of the shoot’s vision. Her look was accentuated with jewellery from Dear Beauty, whose timeless designs added an extra layer of sophistication.
Makeup artist VEE and hair artist Teerapit worked their magic to bring out Neoy’s natural beauty, creating a polished yet approachable aesthetic. Behind the scenes, Jon Tan’s assistance was invaluable, and Aki Yamaguchi’s expertise as our fixer ensured everything went smoothly in bustling Bangkok.
Bangkok served as the perfect backdrop for this destination shoot, with sessions taking place in the serene State Railway Park and the enchanting Bangkok Butterfly Garden & Insectarium. These locations provided a lush, natural setting that complemented the shoot’s aesthetic. The team captured a blend of candid moments and styled portraits that reflected the playful yet heartfelt nature of Neoy and Walt’s bond. Every shot was infused with the energy and beauty of the city, making this a truly unique collection.
This project was shot on both digital and 35mm film, blending the clarity and vibrancy of modern photography with the nostalgic, textured aesthetic of film. The combination added depth and timelessness to the final gallery.
