"Kenneth and I are absolutely blessed to have our anniversary photos captured by Joelle at Coney Island. From the preparation to the shoot to the post-editing phase, she has shown so much dedication and professionalism. She initiated to meet up with both of us prior to the shoot in order to get to know us much better as a couple. She shared her philosophy as a photographer too, that every photo is a memory. She also co-constructed the theme of the shoot to ensure that we would enjoy the shoot. While she already had a concept in mind, she showed flexibility by inserting our own concepts too.
"Apart from her personalized approach, I was so grateful that she had also gone out of her way to conduct a recce of the entire island to ensure that the timing and lighting would be optimal for the shoot. Even when the sun was glaring near to noon, she prepared tissues and portable fans to keep us looking fresh. As a result of her attention to detail, we had taken our photos at specific areas on the island where the sun cast a really comfortable glow on us - the photos turned out superb!

"Joelle made us feel very comfortable from the beginning, gave us great direction such that we never felt awkward at all even though it's our first couple shoot! She was patient, considered our opinion, showed references of the poses and feel she was suggesting, and always checked in to see if we were okay. I was surprised that throughout the entire shoot, she made sure the shoot was also going the way we wanted.
The entire shoot was such a fun experience and it was very easy to communicate with her. LOVED how the photos turned out, especially the black & white flash photos which Joelle wanted to try out when the sun set - also surprised me how much I loved the flash photos! We had our wedding shoot on our boat and she even took a short trip on the boat before the wedding day itself.

"We're both very awkward in front of cameras, but Joelle managed to capture very very nice pictures of us together and we loved it so much!
It's also our first time taking photos with our dog, Tofu. Tofu is very naughty and hard even for me to take a nice photo of him, but Joelle managed to work her magic and took very cute photos of him! She gave us clear direction on how to pose, where to pose and we loved the edits of the photos!

"Let me preface this by stating that I absolutely hate taking photos. The idea of being the focus of a picture stirs up highly unpleasant feelings. But when I began the process of setting up my website, I knew that photos of my cat were not going to cut it.
With great trepidation, I embarked on a photoshoot with Joelle. She is so nice and personable, understanding of my need to pull random monkey faces to just "relax." Joelle gave good tips and direction after seeking to understand my services and the image I was trying to convey. Her mood board is such a nice touch!
